Specially a thousand people , those who were addicted in mainly in Heroin and Alcohol was able to cured by diminishing their uncontrolled, unbalanced minds and desire for re-addiction for those drugs.

MECAT Medical Research Institute is located in nearby Colombo Zonal Division, lying about nearly 19km on Galle road from Colombo City and the directions for reaching to the institute are given as follows.
- Taking a bus route # 142-Moratuwa / Modara, Panadura from the city town, Moratuwa and getting down 13th Milepost in Old Koralawella-Modara Road. OR
- Taking a Taxi-Threewheeler from Moratuwa town city to turning down on 5th Lane, Koralawella.
